Terms of Use
Last updated: May 9, 2026
1. What Virdigo is
Virdigo lets you anchor photos, notes, and "echoes" to real-world GPS coordinates so other users can discover them when they visit. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- We strongly recommend Virdigo for users 17+ because it surfaces real-world locations and may direct you to physical places.
- If you are between 13 and 17, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms with you.
3. Location pins — your responsibility
This is the most important section. Read it.
- You choose what to pin. Every spot you create exposes a real-world coordinate. Use your discretion.
- Do not pin private residences (yours or anyone else's) at the exact address. Even "secret" spots can be aggregated into patterns that reveal where someone lives, works, or routinely goes.
- Schools, military facilities, and correctional facilities are blocked. Attempts to pin at these locations are rejected automatically based on the place data returned for your coordinates.
- You will be warned before pinning at other sensitive places — hospitals and medical facilities, places of worship, shelters, government buildings, embassies, police and fire stations. You can choose to continue or cancel. Use good judgment; if a pin could endanger or harass the people there, don't post it.
- Set a home privacy zone in your account settings to block drops near your own address. We strongly recommend doing this. Do not pin other people's homes at their exact address either, even if marked "Secret" — aggregated pins still reveal patterns.
- Do not pin places you don't have legal access to. Don't encourage trespassing, climbing private structures, or entering restricted areas.
- Pinning a location is public-facing by default unless you mark the spot Secret. "Secret" means hidden from the map — it is not encrypted and Virdigo staff can still see it.
- You are responsible for knowing local laws about photography, recording, and public access wherever you pin.
4. Real-world safety
- Do not use Virdigo while driving, biking, or operating any vehicle.
- Stay aware of your surroundings. The AR reveal asks you to look through your phone — do not walk into traffic, off curbs, or into hazards.
- Use your judgment about visiting unfamiliar locations, especially at night or alone.
- Virdigo does not verify that pinned locations are safe, legal to access, or accurately placed. GPS and AR alignment are best-effort.
5. User content
You keep ownership of the photos, notes, and echoes you post. By posting, you grant Virdigo a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the app and in app store / marketing previews of the service.
You agree your content does not contain:
- Identifiable images of minors without parental consent.
- Nudity or sexually explicit content of any kind, including exposed genitalia, female nipples, sex acts, or close-cropped depictions of sexual anatomy.
- Sexually suggestive content as the primary purpose of a post — including "thirst trap" framing, suggestive poses, implied-nude shots, or fetish-oriented material. Incidental swimwear, lingerie, or athletic wear in normal contexts (a beach, a runway, a workout) is fine; content that exists primarily to sexualize the subject is not.
- Content sexualizing minors in any way, at any age, in any context (zero tolerance — instant permanent ban and reporting to NCMEC and law enforcement).
- Other people's faces, license plates, or personally identifying info without their consent.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, doxxing, or incitement of violence.
- Illegal content, drug sales, weapons trafficking, or directions to commit a crime.
- Copyrighted material you don't have rights to.
- Spam, phishing links, or attempts to manipulate the app.
Virdigo is not an adult platform. We reserve the right to remove content or accounts that push the platform's tone in an adult direction, even when individual posts technically comply with the rules above. Pinning sexualized content to a real-world location creates safety risks (stalking, harassment) that we will not host.
6. Screenshots, scraping, and leaks
Virdigo's value depends on content being discovered through visits, not screenshots. To protect creators and other users:
- Capturing screenshots, screen recordings, or photos of another user's content and distributing them outside Virdigo (including social media, group chats, or other platforms) may result in account suspension or permanent deletion at our sole discretion.
- Re-distributing another user's secret or paid-subscriber content is a permanent-ban offense.
- Automated scraping, bots, reverse-engineering of geolock or reveal mechanics, and bulk download of pins is prohibited.
- We may block IP addresses or device identifiers of accounts that repeatedly violate these rules.
7. Echoes and visits
When you echo a spot or "arrive" at one, that activity may be visible to the spot's creator and to others depending on the spot's wall settings. If you don't want a visit recorded, don't visit and reveal the spot.
8. Creator subscriptions
- Subscriptions to creators are billed monthly via Stripe. Virdigo retains a 15% platform fee plus payment processing costs.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not generally issue prorated refunds.
- If a creator is removed for violating these terms, their subscriber-only content may become inaccessible. Refunds for the unused portion of the current period are at our discretion.
- Chargebacks not resolved through our support process may result in account suspension.
9. Reporting and moderation
Every note can be reported using the flag icon. Moderators review reports and may remove content, warn, suspend, or permanently delete accounts. Severe violations (CSAM, credible threats, doxxing) are removed immediately and may be reported to law enforcement.
10. Account suspension or deletion
We may suspend or permanently delete accounts for violations of these terms, including but not limited to:
- Posting prohibited content (Section 5).
- Distributing screenshots of other users' content (Section 6).
- Doxxing, harassment, stalking, or using the app to track another person without consent.
- Pinning content designed to lure people to unsafe or illegal locations.
- Attempting to bypass geolocks, payments, or moderation systems.
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deletion removes your content from public view; backups and abuse logs may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
Virdigo is provided "as is." We do not warrant accuracy of GPS coordinates, AR alignment, location safety, content posted by other users, or uninterrupted availability. Use of the app is at your own risk.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Virdigo and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including injuries sustained while traveling to a pinned location, harm caused by content posted by other users, or losses from disclosed location data.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
